MA is an invasive procedure where fine needles are inserted through the skin and muscle directly at a myofascial trigger point (a contraction of knots). This is not an injection and is used to treat musculoskeletal pain. MA can help with any manifestation of musculoskeletal pain (pain that affects the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones)
